VITAL REMAINS: Mexican Shows Canceled
September 7, 2010Guitarist Tony Lazaro from U.S.-based death/black metallers VITAL REMAINS has issued the following update:
"As the leader of VITAL REMAINS and on behalf of the whole band, it is with deep regret that I hereby inform all of you that as consequence of information broadcasted through several news media here in the United States last week relating to the violence in México and an alert issued by our government warning American citizens against travelling to México. With that said, several members of the band, fearing for their safety, have opted for postponing our visit to México and as consequence of that the band has been forced to cancel the shows booked for the month of September in Mexico.
"We apologize to all the fans and promoters and regret this decision and hope that in a near future we will to book a new visit to Mexico and make it up to all of you.
"Thanks for all your understanding and support."
Restrain Records in 2007 released a high-quality double-vinyl presentation of VITAL REMAINS' latest abum, "Icons of Evil". The set includes 'brutal blasphemy spread over three sides, with the fourth side bearing an engraving," according to the band. "Comes in a gatefold cover with printed lyric sleeves!"
VITAL REMAINS' DVD, entitled "Evil Death Live", came out in 2007 via Metal Mind Productions. The disc includes footage of VITAL REMAINS' performance at the Metalmania Festival 2007 on April 24, 2007 in Katowice, Poland as well as an interview with Tony Lazaro (one of the band's founders) and Dave Suzuki, live bootleg material and many other surprises. Also available is a limited DVD+CD swing case edition, featuring a bonus CD containing songs recorded at the Metalmania gig.
